Understand the Microbiology, AKA the Soil Food Web, in Your Soil
Soil Microbial Analysis - $65 per sample
Our biological soil test provides a an analysis of your soil’s biological health based on brightfield microscopy. We examine soil samples to qualitatively assess the types and approximate abundance of key soil organisms — including bacteria, fungi, protozoa, and nematodes. This service offers valuable insights into your soil food web and ecosystem function, helping you target your soil management for long-term health and productivity.
Available for soil, compost, and liquid amendments, this test is ideal for baseline evaluations, amendment planning, and tracking progress over time.

Biochar
Raw Biochar
A porous, carbonaceous material that is produced by pyrolysis of plant biomasses in an oxygen-limited environment. Suitable for use in soils or for carbon sequestration. This product has not been “charged” with soil microorganisms.

Casey Williams works at the intersection of soil biology, regenerative land management, and practical coaching for people who want to understand what is happening beneath their feet and on the land they care for.
Trained through the Integrity Soils CREATE program and a certified Soil Food Web Consultant and Mentor, Casey helps clients (and students) think critically about management decisions, interpret soil data, and develop observation skills that lead to lasting ecological improvement.
With a Permaculture Design Certificate and Permaculture Teacher Training, he brings an ecological design lens to his work, connecting soil function, plant communities, and land stewardship into a coherent, workable system.
Known for his attention to detail, pragmatic thinking, and ability to see patterns others miss, Casey supports clients around the world in learning how to read their land and respond with informed, goal-oriented practices.
